Essays & Nonfiction

Until recently, my idea of writing "nonfiction" was the argumentative academic paper, or perhaps a magazine article. However, after being introduced to "creative nonfiction"--a field including essays and memoir--I found that I had come full-circle in my writing, returning to the off-dry humor and quirkiness that colored some of the first "stories" I wrote.
